My Secret To Managing Time
I often get asked how I’ve been able to manage my side hustles around work, family and other commitments and if there’s one thing I've learned it’s that mastering my time is crucial. Time is the one resource we cannot replenish.
To optimise my time, I've embraced the concept of time blocking. It was a concept I first stumbled upon in a video by Ali Abdaal, a doctor and content creator known for his productivity insights.
Drawing inspiration from his teachings, I've been able to transform the way I manage my time, taking it from chaos to a systemised, manageable process.
Time blocking involves dividing your day into chunks of time, or 'blocks', and dedicating each block to a specific task or activity.
Ali Abdaal suggests using time blocking as a method to "time box" our tasks and activities, essentially setting a maximum amount of time we'll spend on them.
By limiting the time we allocate to a task, we can maintain focus and ensure that our work does not spill over into other areas of our life.
The beauty of time blocking lies in its flexibility. For instance, I prioritize my most important activities in the morning before my workday begins. This practice, known as the "eat that frog" technique, ensures that I tackle the most challenging or crucial tasks when my mind is fresh and distraction is at a minimum. It's also a psychological win, as completing these tasks sets a positive tone for the rest of the day.
In the end, time blocking isn't just about productivity; it's about achieving a balanced and fulfilling life. It allows us to ensure that we're not just busy, but busy with purpose. We are not merely surviving each day, but thriving, making the most of our time, and living intentionally.
I encourage you to give it a try and see the transformation it brings to your life.
Divide your life into sections; this will bring order in your thoughts and actions.

Niche Of The Week: Quiz Books
This week we will take a look at quiz books which are one of my favourite books to create.
What is a quiz book?
A quiz book is a type of book that contains a collection of questions and answers on various subjects. They are often used for educational purposes, to test knowledge or understanding of a particular topic or to learn new information.
So far this month, just one quiz book has made me $301.40 which is a nice addition to my portfolio of books.
Creating quiz books can be a fun and rewarding process for several reasons:
Creativity: Creating a quiz book allows you to be creative. You can choose the subjects, the style of questions, the design, and even add twists and challenges that make the quizzes more engaging.
Educational Impact: Quiz books are often used as educational tools. Knowing that your work could help others learn or reinforce their knowledge can be very fulfilling.
Engagement: Designing quizzes allows you to engage with people in a unique way. You get to challenge their knowledge and stimulate their thinking. Seeing people interact with your content and learn from it can be very rewarding.
Diving Deeper:
When creating your quiz book, make sure you create something unique that customers are looking for. You can start off using the Amazon search by for ideas.
Then make sure that there are a low amount of results so you don’t have to compete with many books and several books with low BSR’s, under 200,00 but the lower the better. This will ensure there is demand for your book.
Once you have found your topic, make sure you create an attractive cover to entice your customer. You can use ChatGPT for your quiz questions, which will save you so much time but you should always fact-check your responses to make sure that they are correct.
The book below is an example of a recent book released in the last month that’s performing well. This proves there’s still a huge demand for these types of books. It has a BSR of 82169 and 5 reviews already.

Subscribers Q&A
This week I had an interesting question from a subscriber about whether he should focus on profitable niches or niches that he’s passionate about.
My belief is that you need to focus on both. This balance is critical because if you focus on just profitable niches then without a genuine interest in your subject, you might struggle to bring something unique to the table. Like most self publishers you will just find yourself copying other successful books.
I've seen many self-publishers fall into this trap. They chase trends, hoping to ride the wave of a profitable niche, but they end up creating books that are no different from thousands of others. Without passion, it's hard to inject that unique twist, that innovative approach, that makes a book stand out.
On the other hand writing a book you are passionate about allows you to share your knowledge, your experiences, and your perspective with the world, and that gives your work a unique edge.
Although, passion alone is not enough. If there's no market for the book you're creating, it won't sell, no matter how much you care about the subject. It's not enough to create, you must also ensure that what you create can find its audience, its readers, its place in the world. There’s need to be a demand for your book. The more demand there is, the more sales you will get.
I've learned that the sweet spot lies in the intersection of passion and profitability. It's about finding a subject that I'm passionate about and that also has a demand in the market. This combination allows me to create a book that is both unique and has the potential to sell well.
It's a challenging balancing act, but when done right, it can lead to both personal satisfaction and commercial success.
